Even though the first official day of fall isn't till the end of September, September 1st is my unofficial first day of fall. Each year on September 1st when I wake up the sights and sounds are so different than the day before. Even though in our neck of the woods, it is supposed to be a horrible 101 today, I still can feel fall.
Maybe it's that the kids are back to school, maybe it's because football season is starting or maybe it's because the hunters are getting all their tree stands and plots ready for hunting season. But all signs are pointing to fall and I am LOVING it!!!
I am already looking forward to wearing long sleeves and light jackets. Kicking up the leaves that have fallen. Enjoying the beautiful colors that nature will be showing off soon.
I am planning a Wild Woman weekend. I am unsure if anyone will go with me this time or if I will just go by myself. I could use some recharging and I know that fall in the Ozarks is just what I need.
Happy Unofficial First Day of Fall!
